Our Goals

On September 24th 2010 the Government of Slovenia in partnership with the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and in cooperation with the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce will hold a strategic-business forum titled Investing in Green. The forum will take place in New York.

Investing in Green aims to be a meeting between Slovene and American business leaders who work in alternative energy and energy efficiency; green-growth policies; clean-tech innovations, and environmentally friendly services.

The meeting should help shed light on opportunities for business cooperation with Slovenia and with the emerging markets of a wider region of South-East Europe. It will provide an excellent opportunity for American investors, corporate executives and entrepreneurs to meet with top business leaders, innovators and policy makers from the region.

Business and policy leaders will discuss strategies for advancing sustainable solutions and furthering business cooperation. The two forum’s panels will focus respectively on the strategic advantages of sustainable business models and on the development of clean technologies as a business opportunity. There will also be an opportunity to further exchange ideas and strategies at receptions as well as to have bilateral “business to business” meetings.
